Pressure, Flow, & Temperature Solutions
Service & Availability sets us apart.
Honest Bill Core “The Oilman’s Friend” established Instrument Maintenance in 1962. Initially, he would go out into the Big Country area; retrieve broken equipment and gauges, and bring them back to the office then located in the 600 block of South Treadaway.
Bill and his wife Phyllis began Instrument Maintenance as a way of supporting their 5 children. All of their children worked at Instrument Maintenance in one way or another in high school or college.
Following Bill’s death in 1987, his son, Bill Jr. took the reins of Instrument Maintenance. Bill Jr. saw a need for Instrument Maintenance in the Permian Basin area and expanded the business from a single location in Abilene. He added one sales office in Lubbock and another in Midland. Since the late 1980s, Instrument Maintenance moved from a single sales and repair facility to the regional distributorship for Pressure, Flow, and Temperature instrumentation and equipment. We have expanded our sales into municipalities and industrial manufacturers as well. Instrument Maintenance has been supplying chlorination equipment and repair services to cities across West Texas for almost 10 years. Instrument Maintenance remains a family business, is owned by Bill Jr, and managed today by two sons, Isaiah and Daniel.
Honest Bill’s legacy lives on at Instrument Maintenance through providing quality products, superior service, and outstanding customer service to all customers.

Availability and Delivery are our primary concern. You can be sure that when you do business with Instrument Maintenance Company that it'll be there quick.
Product Availability
Since it's origin in 1962 Instrument Maintenance Co., INC has delivered quality petroleum and industrial instrumentation and services to the western portion of Texas.
Instrument Maintenance came about because our founder, Bill Core, noticed that in the Oil and Gas industry there was a huge lack of availability of pressure products by suppliers. He founded Instrument Maintenance Co. on the idea that our clients need to be able to get their equipment right when they need it.
In the 50+ years since we have gained a reputation for doing just that.
Expedient Delivery
Based on the principles set forward by our founder, every employee of Instrument Maintenance Co. is empowered to help our clients.
We believe that it is everyone's job to ensure that our customers get the parts they need, quickly. That's why we not only invest in each employee but have invested time and energy developing a sophisticated logistics infrastructure to get you the parts you need, fast.
